DESIGNED IN VERMONT, ARTFULLY CRAFTED IN VERMONT.

ABOUT JAMIE
About Jamie
Jamie grew up in Shelburne Vermont, she found her love for jewelry at a very young age, thanks to a trip to a local bead store to make an end-of -the-year gift for one of her teachers. She continued to create and play with beads and leather bracelets as gifts for holidays. With positive feedback from friends and family, her passion for jewelry grew stronger. She converted a section of her basement into a studio where she could work on her projects, with some slight redecorating and her studio’s newly painted pink walls, Jamie’s Jewels was born. By the time she was ten, she was already selling her creations at craft fairs, charity events, farmers markets, and trunk shows at small town boutiques. As time went on Jamie outgrew her little pink studio, beads and leather bracelets for metal work and custom jewelry. She then found mentors and a bigger platform in order to achieve her goal of being a high-end engagement ring and custom jewelry designer. Jamie went on to be mentored by a designer in her home town of Shelburne and a German goldsmith out of Burlington Vermont. She then headed to Los Angeles to the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. Though the Covid-19 pandemic canceled her program in her first few weeks, Jamie did not let this road block stop her. She stayed in LA seeking out opportunities to learn from the many experienced jewelry designers out west. As her training and experience grew, so did her repertoire. From metal work to precious stone setting, Jamie has come a long way from her basement studio and continues to grow and learn as a designer and entrepreneur. As both the designer and creator of many of her pieces, she brings a unique know-how to the design and consultation process. Now, James Johnson can be found on the ring fingers of newlyweds and the wrists of people all over the country. Jamie continues to make all of her own pieces and looks forward to growing her brand and making more beautiful jewelry for the world to enjoy. Her eight year old self who named it Jamie’s Jewels would be living out her dream to now know it is officially James Johnson.
